Daren O'Connor
President, Financial Advisor
Daren founded LBK Financial to assist investors in achieving their financial goals by helping them navigate the complexities of the investment world. Throughout his career, Daren has prided himself on being an advocate of investor protection. As a Securities Regulator for the New Jersey Bureau of Securities for over 12 years, Daren investigated securities fraud, sales practices, market manipulation, and money laundering. In his role as a Supervising Investigator, he was recognized by the New Jersey Attorney General in 1995 for his part in the filing of the largest civil stock fraud case by the State of New Jersey.
As a Wealth Management Compliance professional for Goldman Sachs Daren managed a team of compliance professionals with the responsibility for the oversight of the New York Private Wealth Management business. Subsequently he held Director level roles in Wealth Management Compliance at both Barclays Capital and Citigroup.
Central to his business philosophy is maintaining the highest level of integrity and trust on behalf of his clients.
Understanding his clients’ unique financial needs and helping to educate them in the process allows him to align each individual client's goals with a portfolio best suited to lead them on a path to financial security.
Daren resides in Whippany, New Jersey with his wife Mary and is the father to Lauren, Brendan and Kelsey.
